Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Izran Khan ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the iSplit: SettleUp Group Bills mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

Description of Service
iSplit is a mobile application that allows users to track shared expenses, split bills among group members, and manage settlements across multiple payment methods. The App provides tools for receipt scanning via OCR, group expense management, multi-method payment tracking, ephemeral guest links for non-users, and settlement reconciliation. The App is designed for personal use by groups such as friends, roommates, students, and travel companions.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use the App.
User Responsibilities
You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
- Use the App to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Use the App to harass, defraud, or mislead other users
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of expense entries, group allocations, and settlement records you create using the App. iSplit is a tracking tool and does not provide financial, legal, or accounting advice.
Ephemeral Guest Links
The App provides a feature to generate temporary guest links that allow non-users to view their balance and mark payments without downloading the App or creating an account. Guest links are provided "as is" and are intended for convenience. We make no guarantee regarding the availability, security, or timeliness of guest link access. Guest link access may be revoked or expire at any time. The organizer is responsible for ensuring guest recipients receive accurate balance information.
Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, code, graphics, and user interface, is owned by Izran Khan and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
"iSplit," "iSplit: SettleUp Group Bills," the iSplit logo, and related names are trademarks of Izran Khan. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.
User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App, including but not limited to expense records, group data, receipt images, and settlement history. You grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the App's functionality (e.g., sharing expense data with group members you designate).
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for ensuring you have the necessary consent from group members whose information you input into the App.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
The App is a group expense tracking and settlement facilitation tool. It does not process actual financial transactions, hold funds, or provide payment processing services. All financial settlements between group members occur outside the App. We are not responsible for any disputes, non-payment, or financial losses arising from the use of the App.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL IZRAN KHAN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Izran Khan, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through informal negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the developer's jurisdiction.
App Store Additional Terms (iOS)
In addition to these Terms, the following terms apply to your use of the App downloaded from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Izran Khan, not Apple Inc.
- Apple has no responsibility for the App or its content
- You may use the App only on Apple-branded devices you own or control
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession or use of it
- Apple has no responsibility for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim
